Oaked Apple Mampoer

Description

Mampoer is one of South Africa's oldest fruit-spirit traditions. Ours is distilled from apples and aged for a full year in French oak, Calvados-style, to give a Gold and Silver award-winning spirit full of baked apple, cinnamon and soft oak.

Tasting notes

• Nose: baked apple, cinnamon, brown sugar
• Palate: orchard fruit and warm oak spice
• Finish: soft, sweet and lingering

Perfect serve

Neat after dinner, or over ice with a dash of ginger ale and a slice of apple.
